Following the drivers meeting, covers of any type are prohibited until the feature is completed.

All race cars are subject to inspection by officials at any time.

9) RACE PROCEDURES

Pill draw to establish qualifying order.

All hot laps, qualifying, and heat races will be done in groups. Group 1 will hot lap, qualify and heat race together. Group 2, group 3, etc. If you are not ready to hot lap with your group you could lose your hot laps for that event.  Qualifying groups will be in same heat race. Heat races will be run straight up. You only need to be fastest in your group to start in the front of your heat race.

Qualifying: The following qualifying procedures shall apply to maintain the racing surface and program efficiency.

39 cars or less:  2 laps

40+ cars: 1 lap.

A designated work area will be identified.  If no work area is established other options will be considered on a track by track basis.  Cars exiting the track during an event that do not go to the designated work area are considered retired from that event.

Cars exiting the track going to the work area that were involved in a yellow/red will be given a minimum of 2 laps beginning when they arrive in the work area to effect repairs until HALF WAY of the event.  Past half way, the car will have until a good line-up is established.  This rule may be REVISED at anytime based on time.

The standard main event will start 21 cars in the main event; however it is at the discretion of the promoter and Western All-Stars to start up to 24 cars in the main event.

A car must be presented to receive start money.  The first non-qualifier is the “Alternate” for the main event starting position.

The initial start of race is on the starters GREEN FLAG. Pole sitter is to set a reasonable pace with the front row side by side. Anyone jumping before the Green flag is waved on initial start will be penalized 1 row for 1st offense and to the tail of the field for 2nd offense.

If there is a caution flag before the 1st lap is scored and only 1 car is involved, that car will be sent to the tail of the field. If more than 1 car is involved in a caution before 1 lap is scored, all cars will get there original starting spot back for complete restart.

All restarts will be started with a duel cone system. 2 cones will be set in turn 4 approx. 60 ft. apart. The leader is responsible for starting all restarts. If leader alters his pace (jack rabbit start, break checking) he will penalized 1 row/spot for first offense and to the tail of the field on the second. If ANYONE jumps before first cone they will be penalized 1 row for 1st offense and tail of field for 2nd offense. If pole sitter/leader does not start by the 2nd cone, the race is on.

Texas restarts: Restarts in the main event will be double file w/ leader in front row alone. 2nd position will pick high or low with 3rd place taking other position. 4th place on back will line up in regular positions. 2 attempts on double file restarts and then next restart will be single file.  All other events shall have a single file restart.  This rule is based on track conditions and can be made single file when necessary.

No racing back to yellow flag.  If white flag has been thrown next flag will be checkered.

When a caution flag is thrown all cars must slow down as soon as it is safe to do so and get in a single file for scoring purposes and then double up when instructed.

Except lap one, anyone involved in a caution will be sent to rear of field and lined up according to the position they were running on last scored lap.

Any driver that causes 2 cautions will be black flagged for that event.
